7 founders, 48 hours and one application. Team Outbreak48, at Launch48 in Birmingham, this weekend are working against the clock to build a new augmented reality game in just two days.
Ambitiously the team are building a geolocation game, based around the concept of a medical disaster. Every player is infected with a disease, the aim of the game is cure as many people as possible in 48 days. Completing a series of challenges regains the players health, some of these require real world interactions with other players.
In what might seem a controversial move, Outbreak48 won’t launch their game until they have at lest 2,000 signups. Head on over to http://outbreak48.com to see what all of the fuss is about.
The team are creating a bunch of digital media leads in order drive traffic to their site.
