AWS Summit London is always a highlight of our year. As one of the biggest conferences in London, it brings together nearly 4,000 people, all fascinated in Amazon Web Services and cloud infrastructure.
This year’s summit was especially exciting for us. We had the honour of presenting as a guest customer in the Keynote led by Amazon CTO Werner Vogels. We also presented in the Startups Customer Showcase about GoSquared’s story and our use case for AWS. And on top of all that, we had a stand in the startup area of the expo hall where the team met a ton of amazing people.
Keynote
AWS invited us to present as the startup guest customer in the Keynote. We were absolutely thrilled to take this chance to tell the world about how AWS has enabled us to make GoSquared what it is today.

Startups Customer Showcase
In the startups track, James presented in the showcase session about our experiences building GoSquared, along with how we’ve built technology on AWS.

GoSquared Stand
We had a tremendous number of people stop by at our stand in the expo hall. The GoSquared team was on hand to meet and greet everyone, and we were chuffed with the amount of interest GoSquared sparked up amongst attendees.
“Cloud has become the new normal”
Once again we were blown away by AWS’ success. The keynote highlighted AWS’ leading position in the cloud provider market, being “five times larger than the competition combined”. Their services continue to expand, with the release of EFS and Amazon Machine Learning this month. So no wonder there was a distinct buzz and excitement amongst the thousands of attendees at this year’s Summit.
If you’d like to get a decent overview and highlights of the event, this writeup does just that.
Thanks to the team at AWS for having us at the Summit, we had a blast!
